Why we built this
Leaving home for the first time carries a heavy, quiet weight. You pack your bags with everything you own, carry your parents' blessings, and board a train heading toward an unfamiliar city fuelled by a massive dream: to clear an exam, land a job, make your family proud.
Too often the city welcomes young dreamers with an exhausting reality check before they even open a notebook. Walking through student hubs, we watched kids and their tired parents wander unfamiliar streets in the heat, dragged along by brokers charging hefty fees for dark, cramped rooms. We saw them settle for barely edible food, spotty Wi-Fi, and landlords who vanish the moment the rent is paid.
Yet the hardest part isn't the broken tap or the bad meal. It's the silence when the door shuts at night.
In a strange room, miles from anyone who knows you, loneliness and exam pressure can feel suffocating. Students from small towns with big ambitions shouldn't have to fight everyday survival battles — haggling with brokers, worrying about basic safety, feeling alone in a crowded place. They deserve an environment that protects their peace so they can focus entirely on what they came to achieve.
So we built a place where promises are real and doors open without commissions or hidden games. More than a roof and four walls: a genuine home base, with clean food, a reliable desk to study at, and spaces where you actually feel safe.

We stay beside our residents through the journey — checking in, bringing people together over shared meals, study circles and game nights, helping friendships turn strangers into family. When students feel cared for and grounded, they don't just survive a new city. They make it theirs.

We connect you directly to verified PGs at the price the owner set. No dalali, no viewing fee, no cut. You pay rent and deposit to the owner — nothing to us, ever. We earn from property owners, not from students.
We've been inside every room
Unbranded PGs disappoint on arrival because nobody checked. We visit every property before listing it and inspect it against our living standards: hygienic kitchen, working power backup, tested Wi-Fi, clean washrooms, and the safety setup. The photos on the listing are ours, not the owner's. If something isn't there, we say so.
Always by your side, not just a room
Moving away from home can be lonely. We stay with you after you move in — study circles, mixers, game nights, a resident group, and someone who checks in. A new city shouldn't be something you face alone.

She saw a stark contrast between rental standards abroad and the reality facing students in India, and founded PG Mila to replace broken broker promises with trust, safety and a real sense of belonging.

Where we're going
Our aim over the next three to five years is a pan-India student living network across every major education hub — 1,000+ verified properties and 50,000+ beds — setting the national benchmark for zero-brokerage housing, total price transparency and real community support. We'll get there one city at a time, and Patna is the first.
