You're not just getting a room

The hardest part of a new city is the silence when the door shuts at night. This is the part of PG Mila that deals with that.

Study circles

Small, subject-wise groups that meet weekly in the building — mains answer writing, NEET biology revision, mock interview practice. Run by residents, with us booking the room and the chai.

Mixers and game nights

The first Sunday of every month, and on every festival that matters. Nothing elaborate: food, music, and a reason to meet the people three doors down before exam season starts.

The resident group

A WhatsApp group per property and one for the city. Notes get shared, lifts get arranged, and when someone asks where to find a cheap stethoscope at 11pm, somebody answers.

Checking in, properly

Our team messages every resident in their first week, again after a month, and before every major exam window. Not an automated survey — a real message from a real person asking how the food is, whether the Wi-Fi holds up during live classes, and whether anything about the room is not as promised.

Two things come out of it. Problems reach the owner before they become the reason somebody moves out. And students who arrived knowing nobody end up with a handful of people who would notice if they stopped showing up.

“I came from Chhapra and knew nobody. The first Sunday there was a chai-and-notes thing on the terrace. That was it — I had people.”

Ankita, BPSC aspirant · Boring Road

“My mother relaxed about the whole thing after she saw the group. Somebody's always awake, somebody's always answering.”
